Open source is a program where the source code, or programming language, is available to the general public for use and/or modification from its original design at no charge. The changes that open source has manifested on the K-12 educational system because the open source software is free(or almost free) and has allowed schools to to access much more educational software. I learned through the TOOL quests that Google is now starting and LMS called Google Classroom. I feel many school systems that cannot afford to pay for an LMS will be trying Google Classroom.
In reference to Creative Commons License I like the No Derivatives option. Others can copy, distribute, display and perform only original copies of your work. If they want to modify your work, they must get your permission first. I would not want to work and publish something and someone else modify it without my permission.
